Bhagavad Gita 16.14 meaning
asau maya hatah shatrur hanishye chaparan api
eeshvaroham aham bhogee siddhoham balavan sukhee
'I have killed that enemy, and I will kill others too. I am the master, I enjoy everything, I am successful, powerful and happy.'
What it means
Krishna shows how arrogance talks: defeating rivals, feeling all-powerful, sure of its own success. Such pride feels strong but is fragile, because it depends on always winning and always being on top.How it helps in real life
- When you succeed: You beat your rival firm to a major contract. Celebrate quietly, call their founder to say well played, and stay humble.
- With friends: In your college group chat you keep bragging about wins. This week, ask about others' lives instead, and celebrate their small victories.
Spoken by Krishna.
