Bhagavad Gita 15.2 meaning
adhash ch-ordhvam prasritas tasya shakha gunapravriddha vishayapravalah
adhash cha moolany anusantatani karm-anubandheeni manushyaloke
Its branches spread downward and upward, nourished by the three qualities of nature, with sense pleasures as their buds. Its roots also stretch down into the human world, binding people through their actions.
What it means
Desires sprout like fresh buds, and every action sends down another root. That is how we get tangled in life. Noticing what we feed helps us see how our habits grow.
Spoken by Krishna.
