Bhagavad Gita · Arjuna Visada Yoga
Bhagavad Gita 1.47 meaning
evam uktvarjunah sankhye rathopastha upavishat
visrijya sasharam chapam shokasanvignamanasah
Having said this on the battlefield, Arjuna threw aside his bow and arrows and sank down on the seat of his chariot, his mind overwhelmed with grief.
What it means
The hero sits down, weapons dropped. The first chapter ends not with answers but with a breakdown. That is honest: real wisdom often begins only after we admit we cannot go on as before.
Spoken by Sanjaya.
