Bhagavad Gita · Arjuna Visada Yoga
Bhagavad Gita 1.46 meaning
yadi mam aprateekaram ashastram shastrapanayah
dhartarashtra rane hanyus tan me kshemataram bhavet
It would be better for me if Dhritarashtra's armed sons killed me in battle while I stood unarmed and did not resist.
What it means
In despair, Arjuna would rather give up completely than face his choice. When a situation feels impossible, simply quitting can look like the only peace. That is exactly when we most need wise counsel.
Spoken by Arjuna.
