Bhagavad Gita 1.39 meaning
katham na jneyam asmabhih papad asman nivartitum
kulakshayakritam dosham prapashyadbhir janardana
कथं न ज्ञेयमस्माभिः पापादस्मान्निवर्तितुम्।
कुलक्षयकृतं दोषं प्रपश्यद्भिर्जनार्दन॥
...why shouldn't we, who clearly see the harm in destroying a family, have the sense to turn away from this sin, Janardana?
What it means
Arjuna argues that seeing the harm makes us responsible for avoiding it. Other people's bad behaviour does not excuse ours. Knowing better means we are called to act better.हिंदी में अर्थ
...तो हे जनार्दन, हम जो कुल के नाश का दोष साफ़ देख रहे हैं, इस पाप से पीछे हटने की समझ क्यों न रखें?
अर्जुन कहता है कि जो गलत को देख सकता है, उस पर बचने की ज़िम्मेदारी है। दूसरों का गलत बर्ताव हमारे गलत का बहाना नहीं। ज़्यादा समझ का मतलब बेहतर करना है।
