Bhagavad Gita 1.37 meaning

tasman n-arha vayam hantum dhartarashtran svabandhavan svajanam hi katham hatva sukhinah syama madhava

So it is not right for us to kill Dhritarashtra's sons, our own relatives. Madhava, how could we ever be happy after killing our own people?

What it means
Arjuna asks a deeply human question: can happiness be built on hurting the people we love? His conclusion may be premature, but the question itself is worth carrying into every big decision.

Spoken by Arjuna.
