Ashtavakra Gita 9.2 meaning

kasy-api tata dhanyasya lokachesht-avalokanat jeevit-echcha bubhuksha cha bubhuts-opashamam gatah

My dear, only some rare, blessed person, by watching how people behave in the world, has had his desire to live, his hunger for pleasure and even his urge to know, all come to rest.

What it means
Watching people chase the same things again and again can teach you more than any book. When you see the pattern clearly, the restless hunger for more, even more information, can finally relax.

Spoken by Ashtavakra.
