Ashtavakra Gita 7.2 meaning
mayy-anantamahambhodhau jagadveechih svabhavatah
udetu vastam ayatu na me vriddhir na cha kshatih
मय्यनन्तमहाम्भोधौ जगद्वीचिः स्वभावतः।
उदेतु वास्तमायातु न मे वृद्धिर्न च क्षतिः॥
In me, the endless ocean, let the wave of the world rise or fall as it naturally does. I gain nothing and lose nothing either way.

मुझ अनंत महासागर में संसार की लहर अपने स्वभाव से उठे या डूब जाए, मेरा न कुछ बढ़ता है, न घटता है।
फ़ायदा-नुकसान उस पल बहुत बड़े लगते हैं, पर वे बड़े सागर की लहरें हैं। अच्छी खबर से तुम्हारी असली कीमत न बढ़ती है, न बुरी खबर से घटती है।
