Ashtavakra Gita 6.3 meaning
aham sa shuktisankasho roopyavad vishvakalpana
iti jnanam tath-aitasya na tyago na graho layah
अहं स शुक्तिसङ्काशो रूप्यवद्विश्वकल्पना।
इति ज्ञानं तथैतस्य न त्यागो न ग्रहो लयः॥
I am like the shell, and the imagined world is like the silver seen in it. This is true knowledge. So there is nothing to give up, nothing to grab, and nothing to dissolve.
What it means
Once you know the silver was only a shine on a shell, you neither chase it nor fight it. Seeing clearly is enough. Many struggles end not through effort but through understanding.हिंदी में अर्थ
मैं सीप जैसा हूँ और कल्पित संसार उसमें दिखी चाँदी जैसा। यही ज्ञान है। इसलिए न कुछ छोड़ना है, न पकड़ना है, न मिटाना है।
जब पता चल जाए कि चाँदी बस सीप की चमक थी, तो न उसके पीछे भागते हो, न उससे लड़ते हो। साफ़ देखना ही काफ़ी है। कई संघर्ष मेहनत से नहीं, समझ से खत्म होते हैं।
