Ashtavakra Gita 4.3 meaning
tajjnasya punyapapabhyam sparsho hy-antar na jayate
na hy-akashasya dhoomena drishyaman-api sangatih
तज्ज्ञस्य पुण्यपापाभ्यां स्पर्शो ह्यन्तर्न जायते।
न ह्याकाशस्य धूमेन दृश्यमानापि सङ्गतिः॥
One who knows that truth is not touched within by merit or sin, just as the sky is not really stained by smoke, even though smoke seems to fill it.
What it means
Mistakes and achievements pass through your life like smoke through the sky. They matter, but they do not define or stain your deepest self. That understanding frees you to learn from both without shame or pride.हिंदी में अर्थ
उस सत्य को जानने वाले को भीतर से पुण्य-पाप छूते नहीं, जैसे धुआँ आकाश में भरा दिखता है, पर आकाश को सच में मैला नहीं करता।
गलतियाँ और उपलब्धियाँ जीवन से धुएँ की तरह गुज़रती हैं। उनका महत्व है, पर वे तुम्हारे असली स्वरूप को परिभाषित या मैला नहीं करतीं। तब दोनों से बिना शर्म या घमंड सीख पाते हो।
