Ashtavakra Gita 2.22 meaning
naham deho na me deho jeevo naham aham hi chit
ayam eva hi me bandha aseed ya jeevite spriha
नाहं देहो न मे देहो जीवो नाहमहं हि चित्।
अयमेव हि मे बन्ध आसीद्या जीविते स्पृहा॥
I am not the body, nor is the body mine. I am not the individual soul; I am awareness. My only bondage was this: my clinging to staying alive.
What it means
The fear of death sits quietly behind many other fears. Loving life is natural; clinging to it desperately is what traps us. Holding life gently lets you live it more fully and fearlessly.हिंदी में अर्थ
मैं शरीर नहीं हूँ, न शरीर मेरा है। मैं जीव भी नहीं, मैं तो चेतना हूँ। मेरा बंधन बस यही था: जीने की लालसा।
मौत का डर कई दूसरे डरों के पीछे चुपचाप बैठा रहता है। जीवन से प्यार स्वाभाविक है, पर उससे बुरी तरह चिपकना बाँधता है। जीवन को हल्के हाथ से थामो, निडर होकर जियो।
