Ashtavakra Gita 2.20 meaning
shareeram svarganarakau bandhamokshau bhayam tatha
kalpanamatram ev-aitat kim me karyam chidatmanah
शरीरं स्वर्गनरकौ बन्धमोक्षौ भयं तथा।
कल्पनामात्रमेवैतत्किं मे कार्यं चिदात्मनः॥
The body, heaven and hell, bondage and liberation, and fear too: all of this is only imagination. What is there for me, who am awareness, to do with any of it?
What it means
Fear often lives in pictures the mind paints of what might happen. Seeing those pictures as pictures, not facts, gives you breathing room. You can then deal with what is actually in front of you.हिंदी में अर्थ
शरीर, स्वर्ग और नरक, बंधन और मोक्ष, और डर भी: यह सब बस कल्पना है। मुझ चेतना-स्वरूप का इनसे क्या लेना-देना?
डर अक्सर उन तस्वीरों में रहता है जो मन भविष्य के बारे में बनाता है। उन्हें तथ्य नहीं, तस्वीर समझो, तो साँस लेने की जगह मिलती है और सामने की असली बात सँभाल पाते हो।
