Ashtavakra Gita · Chapter 2
Ashtavakra Gita 2.11 meaning
aho aham namo mahyam vinasho yasya nasti me
brahmadistambaparyantam jagannashepi tishthatah
How wonderful I am! I bow to myself, who never perishes. Even when the whole world, from the creator Brahma down to a blade of grass, is destroyed, I remain.
What it means
This is not arrogance but wonder at the deathless awareness in everyone. Bowing to that inner reality, rather than to your fragile ego, gives a deep security no loss can take away.
Spoken by Janaka.
