Ashtavakra Gita 18.53 meaning

vilasanti mahabhogair vishanti girigahvaran nirastakalpana dheera abaddha muktabuddhayah

Some wise ones enjoy great comforts; others go off into mountain caves. Having let go of mental constructions, they remain unbound, their minds free.

What it means
Freedom does not depend on lifestyle. A person can be free in a palace or in a cave, and trapped in either. What matters is what the mind is holding on to.

Spoken by Ashtavakra.
