Ashtavakra Gita · Chapter 18
Ashtavakra Gita 18.46 meaning
nirvasanam harim drishtva tooshneem vishayadantinah
palayante na shaktas te sevante kritachatavah
When the elephants of sense pleasures see the lion who is free of craving, they quietly run away. Unable to attack him, they stay and serve him like flatterers.
What it means
When you are no longer hungry for things, temptations lose their power over you. The same comforts that once controlled you become simply useful. You use them; they no longer use you.
Spoken by Ashtavakra.
