Ashtavakra Gita 18.29 meaning
yasyantah syad ahankaro na karoti karoti sah
nirahankaradheerena na kinchid akritam kritam
यस्यान्तः स्यादहङ्कारो न करोति करोति सः।
निरहङ्कारधीरेण न किंचिदकृतं कृतम्॥
One who carries ego inside is acting even when he does nothing. For the wise one free of ego, nothing is ever done or left undone.
What it means
Sitting still does not mean you are at rest if your ego is busy judging, planning and comparing. Real rest comes when the 'I' stops keeping score, whether you are working or not.हिंदी में अर्थ
जिसके भीतर अहंकार है, वह कुछ न करते हुए भी कर रहा होता है। अहंकार से मुक्त धीर के लिए न कुछ किया गया है, न कुछ बिना किए रह गया।
अगर अहंकार भीतर तुलना, योजना और हिसाब में लगा है, तो चुप बैठना भी आराम नहीं है। असली आराम तब है जब 'मैं' हिसाब रखना छोड़ दे।
