Ashtavakra Gita 18.28 meaning
asamadher avikshepan na mumukshur na chetarah
nishchitya kalpitam pashyan brahmaivaste mahashayah
असमाधेरविक्षेपान्न मुमुक्षुर्न चेतरः।
निश्चित्य कल्पितं पश्यन्ब्रह्मैवास्ते महाशयः॥
Free from both forced meditation and distraction, the great-hearted one is neither a seeker of freedom nor anything else. Knowing that all is imagined, he sees it and simply abides as Brahman.
What it means
Some people feel they must always be either 'focused' or 'lost'. The wise drop both labels. Seeing that much of what troubles us is mental construction, they rest in what is real underneath.हिंदी में अर्थ
न जबरदस्ती के ध्यान में, न भटकाव में; वह महान हृदय वाला न मुक्ति का खोजी है, न कुछ और। सब कुछ कल्पित है, यह जानकर वह देखता हुआ भी ब्रह्म-रूप में ही रहता है।
हम सोचते हैं कि या तो ध्यान में रहें या भटके हुए हैं। ज्ञानी दोनों ठप्पे छोड़ देते हैं। यह देखकर कि हमारी उलझनें मन की बनाई हैं, वे भीतर के सच में टिकते हैं।
