Ashtavakra Gita 12.3 meaning

samadhy-asadivikshiptau vyavaharah samadhaye evam vilokya niyamam evam ev-aham asthitah

Practices like deep meditation are needed only for a mind that is scattered by false ideas. Seeing this rule, I stay just as I am.

What it means
Tools like meditation are medicine for a restless mind. They matter, but they are a means, not a trophy. When the restlessness is gone, there is no need to cling to the method.

Spoken by Janaka.
