Ashtavakra Gita 12.2 meaning
preety-abhavena shabdader adrishyatvena ch-atmanah
vikshep-aikagrahridaya evam ev-aham asthitah
With no pull toward sounds and other sensations, and knowing the Self is not something to be seen, my heart is free of both distraction and forced focus. That is how I stay settled.
What it means
Constant stimulation scatters us, but forced concentration is tiring too. When the craving for input quiets down, the mind settles on its own, without effort or struggle.
Spoken by Janaka.
