Ashtavakra Gita · Chapter 1
Ashtavakra Gita 1.18 meaning
sakaram anritam viddhi nirakaram tu nishchalam
etat tattvopadeshena na punarbhavasambhavah
Know that everything with form is passing and unreal, while the formless is unmoving. Through this teaching of truth, there is no more coming back into the cycle of birth.
What it means
Things, bodies and situations keep changing and ending. What sees them does not. Building your sense of self on the changeless rather than the changing ends the repeating cycle of anxiety and loss.
Spoken by Ashtavakra.
