Ashtavakra Gita 1.15 meaning

nihsango nishkriyosi tvam svaprakasho niranjanah ayam eva hi te bandhah samadhim anutishthasi

You are unattached, actionless, self-luminous and spotless. Your bondage is just this: that you keep practising meditation as a way to reach what you already are.

What it means
Even self-improvement can become another chase. Practice helps, but if you treat peace as something far away to earn, you keep postponing it. Sometimes the step is simply to stop striving and notice.

Spoken by Ashtavakra.
