Yoga Sutras 2.5 meaning
anity-ashuchi-duhkh-anatmasu nitya-shuchi-sukh-atmakhyatir avidya
अनित्याशुचिदुःखानात्मसु नित्यशुचिसुखात्मख्यातिरविद्या॥
Ignorance means seeing the temporary as permanent, the impure as pure, pain as pleasure, and what is not the self as the self.
What it means
We suffer when we expect things to last forever or treat our body, status or possessions as who we truly are. Seeing things as they are frees us from many disappointments.हिंदी में अर्थ
अविद्या का अर्थ है नश्वर को स्थायी, अशुद्ध को शुद्ध, दुःख को सुख, और जो आत्मा नहीं उसे आत्मा मान लेना।
हम तब दुःखी होते हैं जब चीज़ों से हमेशा टिकने की उम्मीद करते हैं, या शरीर, पद, संपत्ति को ही अपना असली रूप मानते हैं। सच देखना कई निराशाओं से बचाता है।
