avidya kshetram uttaresham prasupta-tanu-vichchinn-odaranam
अविद्या क्षेत्रमुत्तरेषां प्रसुप्ततनुविच्छिन्नोदाराणाम्॥
Ignorance is the field in which the other four grow, whether they are sleeping, weak, interrupted, or fully active.

Ego, craving, resentment and fear all grow from one root: not seeing life clearly. Some problems are asleep in you, some are loud. Clear understanding weakens all of them together.हिंदी में अर्थ
अविद्या वह खेत है जिसमें बाकी चारों क्लेश उगते हैं — चाहे वे सोए हुए हों, कमज़ोर हों, बीच-बीच में रुकते हों, या पूरे सक्रिय हों।
अहंकार, लालसा, द्वेष और डर — सब एक ही जड़ से उगते हैं: जीवन को साफ़ न देखना। कुछ समस्याएँ सोई हैं, कुछ जागी हुई; सही समझ सबको कमज़ोर करती है।
