Yoga Sutras 2.12 meaning
kleshamoolah karm-ashayo drisht-adrishta-janma-vedaneeyah
क्लेशमूलः कर्माशयो दृष्टादृष्टजन्मवेदनीयः॥
The store of past actions has its roots in these causes of suffering, and its results are felt in this life or in lives to come.
