A disease isn't cured by repeating the word 'medicine' without drinking it. Likewise, without direct experience, one is not freed by merely saying the word 'Brahman'.
What it means
Talking about meditation, fitness or kindness is not the same as practising them. Words point the way, but only doing it gets you there. Practise a little every day.
Spoken by Adi Shankaracharya.
