vairagyabodhau purushasya pakshivat pakshau vijaneehi vichakshana tvam vimuktisaudh-agralat-adhirohanam tabhyam vina n-anyatarena sidhyati

Wise one, know that dispassion and understanding are like a bird's two wings. Without both, no one can climb to the top of the mansion of freedom.

What it means
Knowledge without letting go stays theoretical; letting go without understanding becomes bitter or confused. Grow both together, and you can truly take flight. Two wings are needed to fly.

Spoken by Adi Shankaracharya.
