Vivekachudamani 335 meaning

bahye niruddhe manasah prasannata manahprasade paramatmadarshanam tasmin sudrishte bhavabandhanasho bahirnirodhah padavee vimukteh

When the outward pull is restrained, the mind becomes calm. When the mind is calm, the Supreme Self is seen. When it is clearly seen, worldly bondage ends. So restraining the outward pull is the road to freedom.

What it means
Constant external input keeps the mind choppy. Pull back a little, through silence, fewer screens, simpler days, and a calm clarity starts to emerge. Less noise outside, more peace inside.

Spoken by Adi Shankaracharya.
