tatha chidabhasam upadhisanstham bhranty-aham ity-eva jadobhimanyate
घटोदके बिम्बितमर्कबिम्बमालोक्य मूढो रविमेव मन्यते ।
तथा चिदाभासमुपाधिसंस्थं भ्रान्त्याहमित्येव जडोऽभिमन्यते ॥
Seeing the sun reflected in water in a pot, a fool thinks it is the sun itself. In the same way, a deluded person mistakes the reflection of awareness in the mind for 'I'.
