Valmiki Ramayana 6.23.31 meaning

kshama yasmin damas tyagah satyam dharmah kritajnata ahinsa ch-aiva bhootanam tam rite ka gatir mama

He in whom live forgiveness, self-control, generosity, truth, righteousness, gratitude and kindness to all beings, without him, what refuge do I have?

What it means
Shown a fake head of Rama, Sita lists what she loves in him. Her list is not about looks or power but character. The people worth holding on to are those whose goodness shapes our lives.

Spoken by Sita.
