Valmiki Ramayana 4.7.6 meaning

I too have suffered a great disaster; my wife was taken from me. Yet I do not grieve like this, nor do I give up my courage.

What it means
Shared pain can become shared strength. Sugriva doesn't lecture from above; he speaks as someone carrying the same wound. Comfort lands best when it comes from someone who understands.

Spoken by Sugriva.
