Valmiki Ramayana 3.47.26 meaning
nanu sadyovineetasya drishyate karmanah phalam
kalopy-angee bhavaty-atra sasyanam iva paktaye
The fruit of a wicked deed is sometimes seen at once; at other times time itself plays a part, just as crops need time to ripen.
What it means
Sita speaks this while being carried off by Ravana. When wrongdoers seem to escape, remember that consequences ripen at their own pace. Patience is not giving up on justice.
Spoken by Sita.
