Valmiki Ramayana 2.35.21 meaning

kritakritya hi vaidehee chay-evanugata patim na jahati rata dharme merum arkaprabha yatha

Sita has done what she had to do. Like a shadow she follows her husband, devoted to dharma, never leaving him, just as sunlight never leaves Mount Meru.

What it means
The people of Ayodhya admire Sita's courage. Being someone's constant support, especially in hard times, is one of the quiet, unnoticed acts of heroism in everyday life.
