Shiva shines like a lamp of wisdom in the hearts of yogis. The crescent moon on his head is its bright flame; desire, like a moth, burns up in it; and it drives away the endless darkness of delusion inside.

What it means
Wisdom works like a lamp inside you. Once it is lit, the cravings that drag you around lose their grip, and the confusion you have carried for years starts to clear. Keep that inner light burning.

Spoken by Bhartrihari.
