Surdas Pad 18 meaning

ankhiyan hari-darasan kee pyasee dekhyau chahati kamalanain kau, nisi-din rahati udasee

These eyes are thirsty for a glimpse of Hari. They long to see the lotus-eyed one, and stay sad day and night.

What it means
Longing is a form of love. The ache of waiting to see someone dear, a parent abroad, a friend far away, is natural. Let it remind you to treasure them when you meet.

How it helps in real life

Spoken by Surdas.
