Subhashitas Subhashita 86 meaning

shanair vidya shanair arthah shanaih parvatam aruhet shanaih kamam cha dharmam cha panchaitani shanaih shanaih

Learning comes slowly, wealth comes slowly, and a mountain should be climbed slowly. Desires and righteous living too: all five are gained step by step.

What it means
Hurry ruins most good things. Skills, savings, big climbs, fulfilling relationships and a good character are all built gradually. Steady beats speedy; give yourself permission to go step by step.

Spoken by Traditional.
