gayanti devah kila geetakani dhanyas tu te bharatabhoomibhage
svarg-apavarg-aspada-margabhoote bhavanti bhooyah purushah suratvat
गायन्ति देवाः किल गीतकानि धन्यास्तु ते भारतभूमिभागे ।
स्वर्गापवर्गास्पदमार्गभूते भवन्ति भूयः पुरुषाः सुरत्वात् ॥
The gods themselves sing songs, it is said: 'Blessed are those born in the land of Bharata, the path to both heaven and liberation. Even we gods long to be born there again as humans.'
What it means
The verse praises a land where ordinary human life is a chance for growth. Being born here, or carrying its culture abroad, is a privilege best honoured by living with goodness, not by boasting.हिंदी में अर्थ
कहते हैं देवता भी गीत गाते हैं: 'धन्य हैं वे जो भारतभूमि में जन्म लेते हैं, जो स्वर्ग और मोक्ष दोनों का मार्ग है। देवता होकर भी हम फिर वहाँ मनुष्य बनकर जन्म लेना चाहते हैं।'
यह श्लोक उस भूमि की प्रशंसा करता है जहाँ साधारण मानव जीवन भी विकास का अवसर है। यहाँ जन्म या इसकी संस्कृति साथ लेकर चलना सौभाग्य है, जिसका सम्मान अच्छे आचरण से होता है।
