शिवे रुष्टे गुरुस्त्राता गुरौ रुष्टे न कश्चन ।
लब्ध्वा कुलगुरुं सम्यग्गुरुमेव समाश्रयेत् ॥
If Shiva is displeased, the guru can protect you; but if the guru is displeased, no one can. Having found a true family guru, take refuge in the guru alone.

यदि शिव रूठ जाएँ तो गुरु रक्षा करता है, पर गुरु रूठ जाए तो कोई रक्षक नहीं। सच्चे कुलगुरु को पाकर उसी की शरण लो।
जो आपको करीब से जानता है, वही फिसलने पर वापस राह दिखा सकता है। अहंकार से किसी सच्चे मार्गदर्शक का भरोसा खोना बड़ी हानि है। ऐसे रिश्तों को ईमानदारी और विनम्रता से सँभालिए।
