Never act on a sudden impulse; thoughtlessness is the doorway to the worst troubles. Good fortune, which loves good qualities, comes on its own to choose the person who acts after careful thought.
What it means
Yudhishthira says this when his brother urges instant war. Most regrets come from a fast reply, a hasty purchase or an angry message. A short pause to think is not slowness; it is how good outcomes find you.
