khalo na sadhutam yati sadbhih sambodhitopi san
saritpooraprapoornopi ksharo na madhurayate
खलो न साधुतां याति सद्भिः संबोधितोऽपि सन् ।
सरित्पूरप्रपूर्णोऽपि क्षारो न मधुरायते ॥
A wicked person does not become good even when advised by the good. The salty sea, though filled by floods of river water, never becomes sweet.
