svabhavam naiva munchanti santah sansargatosatam
na tyajanti rutam manju kakasamparkatah pikah
स्वभावं नैव मुञ्चन्ति सन्तः संसर्गतोऽसताम् ।
न त्यजन्ति रुतं मञ्जु काकसम्पर्कतः पिकाः ॥
Good people never give up their nature through contact with the wicked. Cuckoos do not lose their sweet song by living among crows.
