अतिजीवति वित्तेन सुखं जीवति विद्यया ।
किंचिज्जीवति शिल्पेन ऋते कर्म न जीवति ॥
With wealth one lives lavishly, with learning one lives happily, with a craft one gets by somehow; but without work, one cannot live at all.
What it means
Money buys comfort and skills pay the bills, but learning brings contentment. Underneath all of them is plain work. Whatever you have, keep doing something useful; an idle life slowly stops being a life.हिंदी में अर्थ
धन से मनुष्य ठाठ से जीता है, विद्या से सुख से जीता है, हुनर से किसी तरह गुज़ारा कर लेता है, पर बिना काम के जी ही नहीं सकता।
धन आराम देता है, हुनर गुज़ारा चलाता है, पर विद्या संतोष देती है। इन सबकी नींव काम है। कुछ भी हो, उपयोगी काम करते रहिए।
