I bow at the lotus feet of the elephant-faced Lord of obstacles, served by Shiva's attendants, who enjoys wood-apple and jamun fruit, the son of Uma, who is the cause of sorrow's end.

What it means
Ganesha is loved for his simple tastes—forest fruits, not luxuries—and for ending sorrow. Bow to obstacles with patience, and you'll often find they are clearing the way.

How it helps in real life

Spoken by Rishi.
