Shvetashvatara Upanishad 6.23 meaning

yasya deve para bhaktir yatha deve tatha gurau tasya-ite kathita hy-arthah prakashante mahatmanah

For the great-souled one who has the highest devotion to God, and the same devotion to the teacher as to God, these teachings shine with their full meaning.

What it means
The same words can stay dull or come alive depending on the heart that hears them. Respect, trust and love for what you study — and for those who teach you — open up meanings that cleverness alone misses.
