Shvetashvatara Upanishad 3.8 meaning
ved-aham etam purusham mahantam adityavarnam tamasah parastat
tam eva viditvatimrityum eti n-anyah pantha vidyateyanaya
वेदाहमेतं पुरुषं महान्तमादित्यवर्णं तमसः परस्तात् ।
तमेव विदित्वाऽतिमृत्युमेति नान्यः पन्था विद्यतेऽयनाय ॥
I know that great Being, radiant like the sun, beyond all darkness. Only by knowing him does one go beyond death; there is no other path to walk.
What it means
The sage speaks with quiet confidence: "I know." That clarity is possible for anyone. Beyond the darkness of fear and confusion there is a light, and finding it is the way past the fear of death.हिंदी में अर्थ
मैं उस महान पुरुष को जानता हूँ, जो सूर्य के समान तेजस्वी है और सारे अंधकार से परे है। केवल उसे जानकर ही मनुष्य मृत्यु के पार जाता है; इसके सिवा चलने का कोई और मार्ग नहीं।
ऋषि शांत विश्वास से कहते हैं: "मैं जानता हूँ।" यह स्पष्टता हर किसी के लिए संभव है। डर और उलझन के अंधेरे के पार एक प्रकाश है, और उसे पाना ही मृत्यु के डर से पार जाने का रास्ता है।
