komalachit deenanha par daya man bach kram mam bhagati amaya
sabahi manaprad apu amanee bharat pran sam mam te pranee
कोमलचित दीनन्ह पर दाया। मन बच क्रम मम भगति अमाया।।
सबहि मानप्रद आपु अमानी। भरत प्रान सम मम ते प्रानी।।
Their hearts are tender, kind to the helpless; they love me in thought, word and deed without pretence. They give respect to everyone while seeking none for themselves. Such people, Bharat, are as dear to me as life.
What it means
Give respect freely and don't hunger for it yourself. Be gentle with those who are struggling. These simple qualities, Rama says, make a person dearer to God than any ritual.How it helps in real life

- At work: A new intern struggles with basic tasks. Be gentle, sit with him for ten minutes, and don't seek credit for teaching him.

उनका चित्त कोमल होता है, दीनों पर दया करते हैं, और मन, वचन, कर्म से निष्कपट मेरी भक्ति करते हैं। सबको सम्मान देते हैं पर स्वयं मान नहीं चाहते। हे भरत, ऐसे लोग मुझे प्राणों के समान प्रिय हैं।
दूसरों को खुलकर सम्मान दो और खुद मान के भूखे मत बनो। जो संघर्ष कर रहे हैं, उनके प्रति कोमल रहो। राम कहते हैं, ये गुण किसी भी पूजा से ज़्यादा प्रिय हैं।
