There is no sorrow in the world like poverty, and no joy like meeting good people. Doing good to others in thought, word and deed is the natural way of the saintly, Garuda.
What it means
Poverty is real suffering, and helping relieve it matters. Yet the greatest joy is the company of good people, whose very nature is to help in thought, word and action. Be that kind of person. How it helps in real life
- Helping others: Your office is collecting for a family who lost everything in a fire. Give what you can, and offer to help them find work.
- With friends: Your happiest evenings were with kind people, not in expensive places. Invite two such friends home for simple dal-chawal this week.
