sunu kapi tohi saman upakaree nahin kou sur nar muni tanudharee
prati upakar karaun ka tora sanamukh hoi na sakat man mora
सुनु कपि तोहि समान उपकारी। नहिं कोउ सुर नर मुनि तनुधारी।।
प्रति उपकार करौं का तोरा। सनमुख होइ न सकत मन मोरा।।
Listen, Hanuman — there is no one like you who has done me such a favour, not among gods, humans or sages. How can I ever repay you? My heart cannot even face you.

हे हनुमान सुनो, देवता, मनुष्य या मुनि — कोई भी शरीरधारी तुम्हारे समान मेरा उपकारी नहीं। मैं तुम्हारा बदला क्या चुकाऊँ? मेरा मन तुम्हारे सामने आँख नहीं मिला पाता।
स्वयं भगवान राम कहते हैं कि वे हनुमान का ऋण नहीं चुका सकते। ऐसी गहरी कृतज्ञता हमें सिखाती है कि जो लोग हमारे साथ खड़े रहे, उन्हें कभी हल्के में न लें।
