सुनि प्रभु बचन बिलोकि मुख गात हरषि हनुमंत।
चरन परेउ प्रेमाकुल त्राहि त्राहि भगवंत।।
Hearing the Lord's words and seeing his face and form, Hanuman was overjoyed. Overwhelmed with love, he fell at Rama's feet crying, 'Save me, save me, Lord!'

प्रभु के वचन सुनकर और उनका मुख तथा शरीर देखकर हनुमान आनंदित हो गए और प्रेम से व्याकुल होकर 'हे भगवान, रक्षा कीजिए, रक्षा कीजिए' कहते हुए चरणों में गिर पड़े।
राम की प्रशंसा सुनकर हनुमान घमंड से नहीं भरते, बल्कि चरणों में गिर जाते हैं कि कहीं अहंकार न आ जाए। तारीफ़ स्वीकार करो, पर उसे सिर पर मत चढ़ने दो।
