Ramcharitmanas 4.16.3 meaning
ras ras sookh sarit sar panee mamata tyag karahin jimi gyanee
jani sarad ritu khanjan ae pai samay jimi sukrit suhae
Little by little the water in rivers and ponds dries up, just as the wise slowly let go of attachment. Knowing autumn has come, the wagtail birds arrive, just as good deeds bear fruit when their time comes.
What it means
Letting go doesn't have to be sudden; it can happen gently, like water drying in autumn. And good actions are never lost — like birds returning with the season, their results arrive at the right time. How it helps in real life
- In love & marriage: Still checking your ex's Instagram months after the breakup? Unfollow this week, and let the attachment dry up slowly, without forcing it.
- Helping others: You've mentored juniors for years and seen nothing come of it. Keep going; one day a message will arrive saying you changed their path.
