What it means
The humble boatman uses playful wit to get what he truly wants: a chance to touch Rama's feet. Love often hides behind humour; look for the longing beneath a joke. How it helps in real life
- With friends: Your friend keeps joking that you never have time for him anymore. Hear the longing behind the joke, and plan a proper day out.
- As a parent: Your teenager jokes that you love your phone more than him. Laugh, then put it away and ask him to show you his game.
